OUR RESORT GOES GREEN – A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY

EVERYONE NEEDS TO PLAY THEIR PART IN PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

Here at La Siesta Resort we are dedicated to providing an eco-friendly environment to help in the fight against the ever growing menace of plastic waste and the danger it causes to our planet, and more immediately, to our beautiful town of Hoi An.

To this end we are aiming to use alternatives to plastic wherever possible. We have discontinued using plastic drinking straws and our two compartment take-away breakfast trays are now made from compostable bagasse (dry pulpy fibrous residue from crushed sugarcane stalks). We urge our guests to follow our lead whenever possible, to eat and drink plastic free, thus leaving less environmental footprints on our planet.

We, as members of the hospitality industry, feel a great responsibility towards our guests, to provide them with the best possible environment whilst at the same time contributing to the whole global initiative of combating the terrible danger to the planet caused by pollution and the consequent suffering endured by sea and river creatures, animals and birds and ultimately the whole human race.

Hoi An is at the forefront of the eco-friendly initiative in Vietnam, having run an Earth Hour Event at the end of March and will continue to ensure our town is an environmentally friendly place. We at La Siesta resort salute this vital initiative and are delighted to lend it our full and whole hearted support.
