La Siesta Resort & Spa
It may only be a 10-minute walk from here into the old town, but in some ways it feels like you’re in the middle of a rustic, isolated village. Because on one side of La Siesta you’ll see Vietnamese farmers, conical hats firmly fastened, toil in the lush green rice paddies. It’s a charming place that offers all the mod cons expected of a high-end retreat, including well-appointed rooms, a magnificent central garden pool, spa and gym, and a restaurant (the Redbean) that sits in the top 10 on TripAdvisor.
At night it’s almost like a mini old town, given the abundant display of lanterns that light the surrounding lush gardens. Yet as excellent as these attributes are, they pale against the real star of La Siesta: its staff. Nothing is too much trouble for the resort’s workers, who go the extra mile to ensure your stay is as near to perfection as possible. Totally recommended. More: lasiestaresorts.com
