The leading boutique hotel group in Vietnam, Elegance Hospitality Group (EHG), welcomes Mr. Nguyen Cao Son as the new chief operating officer (COO). With over 20 years in the hotel and tourism industry, Mr. Son will oversee the advancement of the award-winning hotel group, from strategy to service.
From the beginning of March, Mr. Son will assume the new position and take on responsibilities at all hotels that come under EHG. As COO, Mr. Son will oversee the overall development of the company, with a specific focus on developing new business strategies while maintaining premium quality.
Having operated in the industry for over 10 years, EHG began with just one boutique hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter. Positive reception to excellent service, high quality, and a prime location lead to a blossoming of sister hotels, and EHG now oversees 8 hotels in the Old Quarter together with a boutique resort in Hoi An. EHG and La Siesta, the boutique hotel on Ma May Street, Hanoi, made headlines recently as it was awarded the 8th position on the 2017 TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Awards.
“We’ve seen tremendous growth in tourism in Vietnam, and the hotel industry has shared in these advancements,” says Mr. Do Van Dan, CEO of EHG. “We would now like to focus on ensuring that EHG continues to grow sustainably; that as we expand, our quality isn’t only maintained, but improved upon. I have every confidence in Mr. Son that he can help as achieve this.”
2016 was Vietnam’s best year for tourism on record, as the country welcomed over 10 million international visitors. Market analysts and the Vietnam government predict further growth in the industry, while the boutique and luxury markets have been earmarked as areas of special interest. Few hotels or hotel groups are able to match EHG in this exclusive category.
“I’m excited to take on this opportunity with what is undoubtedly Vietnam’s most successful boutique hotel group,” says Mr. Son. “I am particularly eager to contribute my experience with Accor, Starwood, Six Senses, and Paradise Vietnam to the betterment of EGH.”
Mr. Son will begin as COO of EHG from 1st March, 2017.
