Red Bean and Gourmet Corner, the signature fine dining restaurants by Elegance Hospitality Group (EHG), are stepping up to the special occasions over the coming month with bespoke packages for Valentine’s Day and Vietnamese New Year (Tet).
Over the last few years Red Bean and Gourmet Corner have taken the fine dining scene in Vietnam by storm. Showcasing innovatively presented traditional Vietnamese fare as well as choice international dishes, the various Red Brand outlets – one at three of EHG’s four hotels in Hanoi (La Siesta Central Hanoi, La Siesta Trendy Hanoi and La Siesta Classic Hanoi) and one in Hoi An – have become a culinary force to be reckoned with. So too has Gourmet Corner at La Siesta Diamond Hotel and Spa Hanoi, which is consistently rated as one of the top restaurants in Hanoi.
Given the pedigree of the venues, guests are sure to enjoy some memorable meals over the coming weeks as the restaurants pull out the stops to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Tet.
With its gilded lakes and timeless feel, Hanoi stakes a strong claim for the title of Asia’s most evocative city. And, with candles, roses, champagne and other trimmings supplying a seductive supporting cast for sumptuous set menus, the various Red Bean outlets around the city make extra special Valentine settings.
At La Siesta Central, grandstand views over Hoan Kiem Lake up the romantic ante. Special Valentine’s cocktails provide a special touch at La Siesta Trendy while perks such as drinks specials and complimentary Prosecco gild proceedings at La Siesta Classic and La Siesta Diamond. Couple friendly dishes such as a Valentine’s chocolate cake with caramel white chocolate and strawberry, meanwhile, prove that food really is the sixth language of love.
The celebrations don’t stop on Valentine’s night, with Tet following immediately on its heels. In keeping with EHG’s Vietnamese roots and the deeply traditional nature of the occasion, the special set menus at the restaurants within the group are a treat for lovers of Vietnamese cuisine. Sample dishes include young bamboo shoot salad with roasted suckling pig, Vietnamese herbs and sweet and sour sauce and consommé with tiger prawn, lotus seed, vegetables and mushrooms. Extravagant western menus are also available for those who seek international flavours.
“Valentine’s Day and Tet are two of the most significant dates on the calendar here in Vietnam so we wanted to really push ourselves,” says Dinh Van Manh, Executive Chef at EHG. “The talented chefs at each one of our outlets in Hanoi have worked independently to create set menus that accentuate the special nature of these occasions, while our teams have strived to create a unique festive atmosphere at our various venues.”
