La Siesta Resort & Spa in Hoi An, Elegance Hospitality Group’s first five star property, has appointed Mr David Coyle as its new General Manager. David, a New Zealand national, brings with him a wealth of senior management level experience in the Asia-Pacific hospitality industry.
His career started 25 years ago on Australia’s Whitsunday Islands. Since then his hospitality journey has taken him around Australia, Phuket and Bangkok in Thailand and Hoi An in Vietnam where he has worked with some of the leading 4 and 5 star hotels and resorts. These include Intercontinental Hotels, Hyatt Hotels Worldwide, Peppers Hotel Group, Pacific International Hotels and Resorts, Peppers Palm Bay Resort and Swiss-Bel Golden Sand Resort and Spa Hoi An. Having worked his way up the ranks to various executive positions including Director of Sales, Executive Assistant Manager and General Manager, David’s drive and inspiration stems from a deep passion and determination to deliver the core values of hospitality to guests and hotel properties.
Before joining the EHG family, his most recent posts include the Allamanda Phuket Resort Laguna Thailand and General Manager for the award winning Swiss-Bel Golden Sand Resort and Spa, Hoi An.
David brings a determined, detailed and fresh approach together with strong cultural empathy for, and knowledge of, the region. Both he and EHG are excited by this collaboration and are looking forward to the contribution he will make to La Siesta Resort & Spa’s continued success and leading position.
